Stella's Place
Website Redesign
From September 2020 to July 2021, I lead the co-design, research, planning and implementation of a redesign for the Stella's Place website. The goal was to redesign a website that was completely accessible, engaging, organized and young adult friendly.
Results
With a year of analysis, co-design and planning we were able to transform the outdated website into a modern, responsive site that addresses user needs.
Complicated and inaccessible pages were converted into more navigable, engaging pages and presented through an attractive site architecture and user flow.
WCAG guidelines were met, SEO ratings improved and user experience was tied together by the brand's narrative across their new digital presence.
"Alex works from a place of deep integrity and sensitivity, producing designs that delight and surprise, penetrate subject matter, capture target audiences and clearly communicate the intended message. Her consultation process is thoughtful and collaborative, and she easily incorporates client feedback to achieve desired outcomes, always delivering on time and on budget. Alex completely re-vamped the Stella’s Place website, focussing on accessibility, strength-based language and inclusive, non-stigmatizing images after an extensive consultation process with stakeholders. Her skills are both broad and deep, and I would highly recommend Alex for design projects of any scale."
