Document Design
Blueprint ADE created a co-designed evaluation for the Peace Core New Narrative (PCNN) and brought me on to put together their Year 1 Impact Report. PCNN is a comprehensive gun violence reduction strategy for Humber River Black Creek, by YAAACE (Youth Association for Academics, Athletics, and Character Education).
YAAACE provides culturally reflective programs to mitigate the opportunity gap for racialized and under-resourced communities.
The Back Story
The goals for this project were to develop a visually interesting report that is accessible to a diverse audience, including community members, stakeholders, and decision-makers.
With such complex information, the flow and visual representation were important. Colour played a big part in this, with cohesive colours chosen to communicate the 6 program streams that are discussed throughout the document (shown below).
Given the sensitive nature of the report’s content, appropriate, non-stigmatizing imagery was crucial to accompany the research.
